Balanced Life Principles
A quiet, honest self-assessment across six areas of your life — then a single picture of where you stand today and where to focus next.
“The unexamined life is not worth living.”— Socrates, as recorded by Plato in the Apology

Ask what you actually did over the last 30 days — not what you meant to do, or how you hope it will be.
A low score is not a failure. It is simply your starting point — and starting points are valuable.
Your first instinct is usually the most honest one. There is no one to impress here.
The same scale is used for every question, every time — that consistency is what keeps your scores comparable from one assessment to the next.
| Score | Level | What it looks like |
|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | Neglected | I give this area little or no attention. It is causing me real pain or worry, and my emotions usually run the show here. |
| 3–4 | Struggling | I make some effort, but it is off and on. I know what to do and often do not do it. |
| 5–6 | Getting by | I am steady in some ways and slipping in others. There is clear room to grow. |
| 7–8 | Strong | I have good habits that I keep most of the time. My emotions are mostly under my control here. |
| 9+ | Thriving | I am consistent and doing very well. I could teach someone else how to do what I do. |
